Following a season when I didn’t kill a single deer (buck or doe) I finally connected toward the end of the 2015 rut. I called this old buck across an open field. He was killable, I am sure, because most of the does in that area had already been bred. The hunting was really tough in 2014 and 2015 as the farm was rebuilding after EHD in 2012 wiped out most of the deer.
